| Description | Established originally by Sun Microsystems ODP file format refers to presentations created in Open Office software version two and later. Such type of file contains variety of data such as texts, images, graphs, transitions between slides, etc. and serves for saving lecture materials, picture slide shows, and business presentations. Dedicated Microsoft users often receive these files, but can't open them, because by default Microsoft Power Point has no way to recognize the ODP format. |

| Description | PNG images provide lossless compression, that is why the quality of the picture is nice, but the size of the file is huge. Because of it this file format is used by photographers. PNG may have several layers of transparency and even include short text descriptions which help search engines to examine the file. Although PNG was developed to replace GIF and partly other formats, it doesn’t support animation since it can’t contain several images like GIF. |

Designers and web publishers convert ODP presentation slides to PNG to extract individual slides as lossless raster images for web pages, documentation, and design tools that accept PNG but not ODP.
ODP (OpenDocument Presentation) is the OASIS-standard presentation format for LibreOffice Impress. It stores slides, speaker notes, embedded images, and styling in a ZIP-based XML structure. ODP is the open-source counterpart to PPTX. While ODP is supported by several applications, it requires an office suite to render — it cannot be embedded as a web image or shared in image-only contexts.
PNG (Portable Network Graphics) is an open-standard lossless raster format with full alpha channel transparency. It is the preferred format for web graphics, screenshots, and any image where sharp edges and exact colors are required. PNG files are larger than JPEG but do not suffer quality loss on repeated saves. Every browser, design tool, and image editor supports PNG natively.
