Convert EPS to JPEG — Batch EPS to JPEG Converter for Windows

EPS files are standard in print design and prepress workflows, but they do not open in web browsers, email clients, or most image viewers. When you need to share artwork with a client, upload a preview to a website, or insert a graphic into a presentation, JPEG is the universal format. Total PDF Converter converts EPS files to high-quality JPEG images in batch, handling hundreds of files in one run. This EPS to JPEG converter:
  • Converts EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) files to JPEG images with adjustable quality
  • Processes hundreds of EPS files in one batch run
  • Controls output resolution (DPI), dimensions, and JPEG compression level
  • Renders vector graphics and embedded fonts accurately

EPS vs JPEG: What Is the Difference?

EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) is a vector graphics format developed by Adobe. It stores illustrations, logos, and page layouts as mathematical descriptions of shapes, curves, and text. EPS files support embedded fonts, clipping paths, and CMYK color spaces. They are the standard exchange format in professional printing and prepress — but require specialized software like Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or Ghostscript to open and render.

JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) is the most widely used raster image format. Every device, browser, email client, and operating system displays JPEG natively. JPEG uses lossy compression to keep file sizes small while maintaining acceptable visual quality. It is the default format for photos, web graphics, and image previews.

The key difference is format type. EPS is vector — resolution-independent and editable. JPEG is raster — pixel-based and universally viewable. Converting EPS to JPEG rasterizes vector artwork into a fixed-resolution image that anyone can open without design software.

How to Convert EPS to JPEG

  • Step 1. Launch Total PDF Converter. The left panel shows a folder tree for quick navigation.
  • Step 2. Browse to the folder with your EPS files. The file list displays all supported files with names, sizes, and dates. Check individual files or click Check All for batch conversion.
  • Step 3. Click JPEG in the format toolbar at the top of the window.
  • Step 4. In the conversion wizard, set the destination folder. Adjust the output resolution (DPI) — 150 DPI works for screen use, 300 DPI for print-quality previews.
  • Step 5. Set the JPEG quality level (1–100). Higher values produce better images with larger file sizes. Choose the color mode: RGB for web, grayscale for document previews.
  • Step 6. Press Start. Each EPS file produces one JPEG image at the specified resolution. Original files remain untouched.

Total PDF Converter - EPS to JPEG conversion

The converted JPEG images render the EPS vector graphics at the exact resolution you specified, with fonts and shapes preserved as clean raster output.

Command-Line Conversion

Total PDF Converter includes a command-line interface for scripted and automated workflows. Convert a single EPS file to JPEG:

PDFConverter.exe C:\Design\logo.eps C:\Output\logo.jpg -cJPEG -DPI 300

Convert an entire folder with 85% quality:

PDFConverter.exe C:\Design\*.eps C:\Output\ -cJPEG -DPI 150 -JpegQuality 85

Embed this in a .bat script or Windows Task Scheduler for automated EPS-to-JPEG exports — useful for generating web previews of print artwork, creating image catalogs, and feeding design files into CMS platforms.

Why Use Total PDF Converter?

Accurate PostScript rendering

The converter uses a built-in PostScript interpreter to render EPS files correctly. Vector shapes, embedded fonts, gradients, and clipping paths are rasterized at the specified DPI without visual artifacts.

Batch processing

Select an entire folder of EPS files and convert them all to JPEG in one run. The program handles hundreds of files without slowing down, producing one JPEG per source file.

Resolution and quality control

Set the exact output DPI (72, 150, 300, or custom) and JPEG compression level. Get screen-ready thumbnails or print-quality previews from the same EPS source — just change the settings.

Multiple input formats

Beyond EPS, Total PDF Converter handles PDF, PS (PostScript), XPS, PRN, and other document formats. Convert them all to JPEG or 15+ other output formats from a single tool.

15+ output formats

Besides JPEG, the converter exports EPS to PNG, TIFF, BMP, PDF, DOC, TXT, and more. One tool covers all your conversion needs.

No cloud uploads

All conversion runs locally on your PC. Client artwork, confidential designs, proprietary logos — nothing is uploaded to external servers. No internet connection required.

When Do You Need EPS to JPEG Conversion?

There are several common scenarios where converting EPS artwork to JPEG images is the right solution:
  1. Client previews. Sending artwork proofs to clients who do not have Illustrator or other design tools. JPEG opens on any device — phones, tablets, laptops — without special software.
  2. Web publishing. Uploading logos, illustrations, or product images to websites, online stores, or social media. Web platforms accept JPEG natively; EPS is not supported by browsers.
  3. Presentations and documents. Inserting vector artwork into PowerPoint, Word, or Google Slides. These applications display JPEG reliably, while EPS support is limited or absent.
  4. Image catalogs. Creating searchable image libraries from collections of EPS design files. JPEG thumbnails load fast in file browsers, asset management tools, and DAM systems.
  5. Email attachments. Sending graphics in a format that every email client can render inline. JPEG displays directly in the message body; EPS arrives as an unopenable attachment for most recipients.

5 Star

"I send artwork proofs to clients who do not have Illustrator. This tool converts my EPS files to high-resolution JPEG in one batch. The rendering is clean, fonts look correct, and the color accuracy is spot on. Saves me from exporting each file manually."

5 Star Christine Haller Graphic Designer

"We receive EPS files from dozens of agencies and need JPEG previews for our internal catalog system. Total PDF Converter handles the entire folder at 300 DPI without a single error. The command-line mode runs on a schedule so fresh previews are ready every morning."

5 Star Tomasz Wieczorek Prepress Technician

"Great for converting logo files and product illustrations to web-ready JPEGs. The quality slider gives good control over file size. I wish there were a preset for social media dimensions, but the DPI and resolution controls cover most needs."

Yes. Total PDF Converter uses a built-in PostScript interpreter to rasterize EPS files. Vector shapes, embedded fonts, gradients, and clipping paths are rendered at the specified DPI without visual artifacts.
Yes. Set the output DPI (72, 150, 300, or any custom value) and the JPEG compression level (1-100). Higher quality values produce sharper images with larger file sizes. Lower values reduce file size at the cost of some detail.
Yes. Total PDF Converter supports batch processing. Select an entire folder of EPS files and convert them all to JPEG in one run. The program handles large batches without issues.
Besides EPS, Total PDF Converter handles PDF, PS (PostScript), XPS, PRN, and other document formats. Output formats include JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP, PDF, DOC, TXT, and more.
The converter renders CMYK EPS files and outputs them as RGB JPEG images (JPEG does not support CMYK). The color conversion is handled automatically during rasterization.
Yes. The built-in command-line interface supports every option available in the GUI. Run PDFConverter.exe with source files, destination, and format flag for scripted or automated workflows.
