A PDF page is a fixed-layout document — you cannot paste it into a presentation, post it on social media, or attach a single page to a message without first converting it to an image. Converting PDF to JPG renders each page as a raster image at a chosen resolution, producing a file that opens in any image viewer, embeds in any slide deck, and uploads to any platform. Each page of the PDF becomes a separate JPG file.
PDF (Portable Document Format) was created by Adobe in 1993 and became an ISO standard (ISO 32000) in 2008. It stores text, vector graphics, fonts, and raster images in a fixed-layout container that renders identically on any device. PDF is the universal standard for contracts, reports, forms, and printable documents.

The converter renders each PDF page using a PDF rendering engine (similar to how a printer driver works) at a target resolution — typically 150 DPI for screen viewing or 300 DPI for print-quality output. Vector text and graphics are rasterized into pixels. The rendered bitmap is then encoded as a JPG at a set quality level. Because PDF pages are rendered rather than extracted, the resulting image looks exactly like the printed page.
