What kind of TAB files does this converter support?

This converter handles tab-delimited text files (.tab, .tsv, .txt) where columns are separated by a tab character (\t) and rows by line breaks. It does not support MapInfo .TAB geographic files — those are a multi-file GIS format unrelated to tab-delimited text. For GIS data, export a layout or table from your GIS application first.

My table has many columns and they're spilling off the page — how do I fix this?

Very wide TAB files work best when you switch the page to Landscape orientation before converting, or split the dataset into logical column groups across separate files. The converter auto-fits column widths to the available page width, but if there are more than 10–15 columns the font size will shrink or columns will wrap. Reducing the number of columns per file, or transposing a wide table to a tall one, usually produces cleaner output.

Will the header row repeat on every page?

When your TAB file has a clear first row of column names, the converter detects it as a header and repeats it at the top of each PDF page. This makes long tables with many rows much easier to navigate in print. If the first row is data rather than a header, no repetition occurs — include a descriptive header row in your file for the best result.

Does the PDF output preserve non-Latin text correctly?

Yes, provided the TAB file is saved as UTF-8. The PDF renderer embeds font information for Unicode characters, so Cyrillic, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and other scripts render correctly. If your source file is in a legacy Windows codepage (e.g., Windows-1252), re-save it as UTF-8 in your text editor before uploading to avoid garbled characters.

What is the file size limit for the online converter?

The online converter accepts TAB files up to 50 MB, one file at a time. Typical tab-delimited exports from databases or spreadsheets are well under 10 MB, so this limit is rarely reached.
